Budsmokers Only – Vol. 4

Spark up and kick back with a chronic batch of hip-hop sounds.

We begin this fourth volume with two classics from the late 80’s – a light-hearted tale from hip-hop legend Biz Markie and an entertaining track from East Coast duo EPMDDJ Quik is on hand with some seriously funky shit, Pharoahe Monche paints a detailed picture of Southside Queens and hardcore group Wu-Tang Clan rap about the consequences of gun violence and unprotected sex.  However, it’s not all doom and gloom as Californian emcees Ahmad and TQ reminisce about their younger years living on the sunny West Coast.  We also have a cool piece of electronic hip-hop from Indianapolis pair AudioDax and three therapeutic tracks taken from Together/Apart, the 2011 album of Seattle-based rapper Grieves.
